Who you are buying from

Ototee is a trading name of Ototee. You can reach us at contact-us@ototee.com.

Placing an order means you accept these terms. We may update them, and the version on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies to it.

Ordering

An order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm it by email, and a contract exists from that moment.

We may decline an order — for example if a piece cannot be produced at the size chosen, if the delivery address cannot be verified, or if we suspect fraud. If we decline after payment, you are refunded in full.

Prices and payment

• —All prices are in US dollars and are shown per size and format on each letter's page.
• —Payment is taken through PayPal. You can pay with a PayPal balance or a card; we never see or store your card details.
• —Any sales tax due is calculated from the delivery address you give us and is shown before you pay. Where no tax is shown, none is charged.
• —Prices can change, but never for an order already confirmed.

Everything is made to order

Nothing is held in stock. Each piece is printed — and framed, if you chose a frame — after your order is confirmed, which is why the range of sizes and frames is as wide as it is.

It also means production begins quickly. If you need to change or cancel an order, tell us as soon as you can and we will stop it if it has not yet gone to print.

Delivery

• —We deliver within the United States only.
• —Production takes 2–4 business days. Tracked delivery then takes a further 5–9 business days.
• —Tracking is emailed to you when the piece ships.
• —Delivery estimates are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, or an address that turns out to be wrong.
• —Risk passes to you on delivery. Please check the parcel on arrival.

Damage, faults and returns

If a piece arrives damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, tell us within 14 days of delivery and send a photograph. We will replace it or refund it, whichever you prefer, at no cost to you.

Because every piece is made to your specification, we cannot generally accept returns simply because you changed your mind. This does not affect any rights you have under the law of your state.

Colour on a screen is never an exact match for ink on paper. Small variation between what you saw and what arrives is normal and is not a fault.

Frames and mockups

Photographs on the product pages show the frame colour and finish. Frames are photographed at one size and room scenes are illustrative, so they are a guide to appearance rather than to scale. The measurements beside each price are authoritative.

Special requests

Custom colourways and custom hidden words are priced on the contact page and are added to the listed price of the size you choose. We confirm the detail with you in writing before anything is printed.

A custom piece is made uniquely for you, so it can only be cancelled before production starts, and it cannot be returned except where it is faulty.

The artwork stays ours

Every letter on this site is original work and remains our property. Buying a piece buys the physical object.

You may not reproduce, scan, print, resell or license the image, or use it commercially, without our written permission. Photographing your own piece on your own wall and sharing it is welcome.

Using this site

• —Do not attempt to interfere with the site, its security, or other people's use of it.
• —Do not scrape, republish or systematically copy the images.
• —The contact form is for genuine enquiries. Automated or abusive submissions are blocked.

Our liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer as a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Where we are liable, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Nothing here removes the protection of any mandatory consumer law of the state you live in.
